Background... Took a cylinder, smoothed the sides, but not the end, to get more rounding, then extruded the sides, to get another section. So.. First problem - You can't dissolve the original center cylinder, to get a ring. Ok, no problem, used Manifold Labs CSG and a smaller copy, to cut out the hole I needed (man I love that plugin). So.. duplicated the ring, and scaled it a bit, so I had smaller blocks, in a ring, them smoothed that scaled it up a bit, and then extrudes every other face on the original, scaled the ends a bit, and dragged them down to line up to my smoothed torus (the regular torus you can't scale up in size, without also scaling the sizes of the mane part. You get a giant fat one, or a really small skinny one, but you can get a really large skinny one (or, I am missing some scale function that actually does this....).
So, I think.. I tried to use Manifold to merge these two objects. Not sure, because either I didn't intrude the tips of my extrudes...
